Pasadena, CA – Huntington Hospital (HH) seeks an experienced, enterprising and collaborative leader who is passionate about quality, safety and enhancing the patient experience to serve as its next Vice President of Quality Improvement and Clinical Operations. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Vice President will join a cohesive and progressive executive management team to advance quality and safety, build upon a strong culture and enhance clinical growth to further the hospital's tradition of clinical excellence.
As one of the leading hospitals in Southern California, HH is a Magnet-designated 619-bed, Level II trauma facility that offers highly specialized care focused on service excellence and exemplary clinical outcomes. HH is nationally recognized and ranked among the top 50 hospitals across seven specialties according to U.S. News & World Report. The hospital provides tertiary and quaternary care that is unique to the San Gabriel Valley, including a comprehensive stroke center, a Level III NICU, a sophisticated and complex care heart center and cancer center, which work in partnership with academic institutions across the greater Los Angeles region. In addition, HH provides innovative teaching programs through their graduate medical education programs.

This affiliation will allow HH to build a leading information technology platform, advance ambulatory care and physician development, while staying true to its mission and dedication to the local community.
The Vice President will provide leadership over quality improvement, patient safety and clinical operations including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Care Coordination and the Senior Care Network. With a strong foundation of quality and service excellence, the Vice President will lead HH to top decile outcomes across the continuum. Utilizing a data-centric approach, s/he will build upon the hospital’s strong clinical engine to improve processes and clinical operations, while utilizing evidence-based medicine. S/he will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring systems of care, decreasing clinical variation, creating a high reliability organization focused on safety and exceptional patient outcomes, and using data to provide information to improve, monitor and measure results.
The successful candidate will be a physician or administrative leader with a track record of improving quality and patient safety and will have appropriate knowledge and training in process improvement, change management, patient experience, paired with a familiarity of clinical information systems and analytics. The role requires an expert facilitator who can motivate and engage diverse stakeholders to action. A demonstrated history of successful physician relations skills will be critical.
