PATIENT EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR

Under the direction of the Quality Administrator, the Patient Experience Coordinator will utilize their expertise and knowledge of current trends and best practices in patient experience and service excellence, foster a culture of patient and family-centered care and service excellence, all while improving patient & family experience and patient relations in acute and outpatient settings. The incumbent will work in partnership with all clinical departments and units to assess and communicate performance expectations about the patient experience, as well as design and implement patient experience initiatives.

Minimum qualifications include possession of a valid California Registered Nurse license or ability to obtain a CA RN License prior to employment, 5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting and 2 years of experience in a patient relations or performance improvement role. A BSN is highly desirable.

Requires working knowledge of:

Medical care and customer satisfaction principles

HCAHPS, MAIDET and other patient experience surveys, tools & metrics

The Joint Commission, Title 22 and CMS requirements such as performance improvement, and grievance management

The principles and practices of team management, performance improvement, action plan development and follow through
