Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, and pediatric subspecialties medical center, is looking for a highly motivated Outcomes Recognition Specialist with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work with our Quality and Accreditation team. Shriners Hospital is the largest provider of pediatric sub-specialty orthopedic and burn care in Northern California and recognized by US News and World Report as a top pediatric hospital in the country.

The Outcomes Recognition Specialist will assume an active role in facilitating hospital-wide initiatives that maximize opportunities for external recognition reflecting exceptional patient care outcomes. Responsibilities include assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of projects to improve the patient experience; obtaining and analyzing data from multiple sources and translating that information for use in external recognition programs; and collaborating with the Marketing and Communications department to develop information and materials highlighting awards reflecting excellence in patient care.

Requires previous experience in clinical data management, health care processes and measurement tools. Prior success with healthcare rating and recognition programs is preferred, as well as additional skills in marketing and/or communications. Must be computer literate with basic data analysis and writing skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are desired traits. Bachelor's degree in public health, marketing or similar healthcare related field is required. 2-3 years of pediatric healthcare or hospital experience preferred.
