HSP Lead Principal Consultant

In this role, you will provide expert support and guidance to interdisciplinary clinical operational functions in care delivery to promote performance improvement and improved health outcomes for 12.2 million members using high reliability science. The scope of work projects will be broad and comprehensive and include development of performance improvement and educational tools to support Hospital Quality, National Quality Committee, and Board level priorities to improve performance and address Kaiser Permanente’s ability to maintain and promote health. You will facilitate, direct, and lead program office and interregional activities to achieve organizational performance goals. You will also plan, organize, and direct the operation of performance improvement efforts and programs and execution strategy for strategic initiatives related to performance and health as identified by the leadership of HQCDE/CMI. In addition, you will advise the overall development of programs for improvement and consults with various internal and external stakeholders on execution of performance improvement initiatives including local site leaders, staff physicians, labor partners, regional and national colleagues, and senior leaders at all levels in efforts aligned with Kaiser Permanente’s quality and business strategies.

Qualifications Include:
• At least fifteen years of directly related experience
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED; a master’s degree in health care or a related field preferred
• Lean six sigma master black belt
• Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems
• The ability to develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
• The ability to develop new applications based on professional principles and theories
• Viewed as a functional expert in the field within Kaiser Permanente
• The ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts
• Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas
• Lean six sigma master black belt with several successful portfolios of initiatives
• The ability to serve as a teacher and mentor to LSS students
• Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices, and systems
• The ability to develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
• The ability to develop new applications based on professional principles and theories
• The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
