Mission

The California Association for Healthcare Quality, established in 1977, is an organization whose primary purpose is to promote the quality of patient care. CAHQ is the only organization in California affiliated with the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and the Western States Alliance.

Membership

The success of CAHQ is dependent upon the active participation and volunteerism of its membership. The focus is to satisfy the needs and interests of existing members and attract new members through continued attention to the changing healthcare horizon.

Membership is available to individuals at a price of $85 per year (discounted to $75 if prepaid before December 31 for the subsequent year). The $75 discounted membership fee is also available to individuals who join when registering for a CAHQ event.

Membership is also available to organizations for $300 per year. This entitles the organization to designate up to three (3) persons as their member representatives. Member organizations also receive three (3) copies of the CAHQ quarterly newsletter and discounted registration fees for up to three (3) persons to attend CAHQ-sponsored educational programs.

Dues

Individual dues (new and renewals) are discounted to $75 per year if prepaid by December 31 for the subsequent year. Renewals after December 31 (the end of the membership year) are $85. The fee for new memberships received after January 1 for the current year is also $85.

Organization dues are $300.00 per year, renewable each December. Payment may be by credit card, check payable to CAHQ, of via the Internet with our on line application/renewal form and PayPal process.

New, renewing and organizational members (membership expires 12/31) have multiple payment options.

  1. mail or fax the form with credit card information or mail the form with a check payable to CAHQ for $85. Members renewing early (prior to 12/31) may take advantage of the discounted $75 fee.

  • To join or renew on line:  Click on this link for the online application form.  Complete all, or at least the required portions of the application form and click the "submit" button at the bottom of the screen.  You will be taken to a payment option page.  Choose the appropriate payment amount and click the PayPal payment button.  This will take you to the PayPal site to complete the payment information and send your dues to CAHQ via PayPal.
