 Position Purpose: The Clinical Trainer is responsible for providing training to Medical Management associates (exempt and non-exempt) through a national educationally based curriculum, training tools and information that enhance employee commitment, motivation, operational improvement, job performance and overall service to HNFS’ associates or customers. In this role, you will be responsible for providing training to both remote and in-house clinical and non-clinical associates.


    • Analyzes designs, develops, delivers and evaluates training tools and information linked to key business requirements for specific regional contracts that maximize associate effectiveness improving organizational performance and service to multiple customers.


    • Serves as project lead to develop, deliver, and implement training and performance support system associated with large scale projects such as program implementation, system integration, new product lines and medical management.


    • Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes.


    • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training aides, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference books.


    • Conducts training sessions for new hire training, on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. Tests trainees using a variety of assessment tools to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training. Reports employee progress during training.


    • Explores/researches distance learning and training strategies through training publications, professional organizations and the internet to continuously improve training project quality.


    • Serves on system implementation and other cross-functional project teams to ensure rollout of new system applications by analyzing requirements, translating into effective training tools, delivering training, troubleshooting and evaluating issues prior and during production integration.


    • Coordinates and schedules outside educational programs/continuing education with vendors to support Utilization Management, Care Management, and Case Management work effort.


    • Develops new areas for training as needs are identified or contractual requirements change.


    • Prepares detailed after action reports including recommendations and appropriate action plans. Ensures that timely and accurate records are kept of all training activity.


    • Prepares training utilization reports.


    • Other duties as assigned.







Education/Experience: BSN desired. 2-3 Years Managed Care Experience, experience in training development and delivery

License/Certification: Must have and maintain current, valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse License

Government Security/Clearance/Citizenship Requirements: Requires US citizenship and current security clearance
